Fun game but whats with the gems??

I love playing this game. It does take quite a while to earn gems and as the game progresses the cooking times are really long along with growing time if youve made it to the level where you can grow a particular item. Id like to see bonus games and events that would give gems as prizes. I like playing but stop from time to time because of those small things.
